| These Magnificent May Day Auroras lit up the night over Chippewa Falls, WI Late May 1st into the wee morning hours of May 2nd, 2011. They Shimmered and flickered and waved from the bottom up as the green swirls danced from left to right. I captured these with my Canon 30D and Sigma f2.8 lens at ISO 1250 for a 28 sec exposure. I worked a 12 hr shift all day and didn't think I was going to be "May-Dayed" but Mother Nature thought otherwise and I was in for a REAL TREAT! |
